Youth Afloat operates centres at Redditch in Worcestershire and at Bartley Green Sailing Club, Birmingham.
These are well equipped having heated changing rooms, hot showers, toilets, and classroom facilities. There is a range of specialist clothing that includes wetsuits, waterproofs, buoyancy aids / life jackets and safety helmets.
All the equipment is maintained to a very high standard and is regularly inspected not only by our own staff but also by several outside bodies.
Arrow Valley
The centre is situated on the lower ground floor of the Redditch Arrow Valley Countryside Centre. The building also boasts a Shop, Cafe and Conference Facilities. The centre is well situated, and is easily reached both by car and on foot.
Activities include: Dinghy Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Bell boating, Improvised Raft Building, Orienteering, Archery, Mountain Biking and Team Building.
Other non sporting activities include: Environmental Studies, Pond Dipping, Bug Hunting, Woodland and River Studies.
As well as the activities provided for youngsters at the centre, there are also several walks and cycle routes around the park, and plenty of local wild life.

From the Junction of the M42 J3 proceed along the A435 towards Alcester and Evesham. After approximately two miles follow the A4023 towards Redditch.
Go Across the first roundabout towards Redditch, take the first exit sign posted "Lakeside and South Moons Moat"
Bear left at the roundabout and after approximately 100 metres, turn right to the Arrow Valley Country Centre. (the health club/gym should be on your right).
The water sports centre is located on the lower ground floor.

Bartley Green Sailing Club
Youth Afloat operates at Bartley Green Sailing Club by prior arrangement.
Location
Exit the M5 at junction 3. Take Manor Way - the A456 West signposted to Kidderminster (out of Birmingham). Take the first left into the narrow Lapal Lane South. Follow this around the bends for about a mile and just before the end turn left into Lye Close and cross the bridge over the M5. Turn right at the cross-roads with the much bigger Woodgate Lane. Where the road forks, bear left down Adams Hill and then keep straight on past the schools and shops until you see Bartley Sailing Club signposted on your right just before the dam wall.
