Youth Afloat operates centres at Redditch in Worcestershire and at Bartley Sailing Club, Birmingham.

These are well equipped having heated changing rooms, hot showers, toilets, and classroom facilities. There is a range of specialist clothing that includes wetsuits, waterproofs, buoyancy aids / life jackets and safety helmets.

All the equipment is maintained to a very high standard and is regularly inspected not only by our own staff but also by several outside bodies.

Arrow Valley

The Arrow Valley centre is situated on the ground floor of the Redditch Arrow Valley Countryside Centre. The building also boasts a Shop, Cafe and Conference Facilities.
The centre is well situated, and is easily reached both by car and on foot.

Activities include: Dinghy Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Bell boating, Improvised Raft Building, Orienteering, Archery and Team Building.

Other non sporting activities include: Environmental Studies, Pond Dipping, Bug Hunting, Woodland and River Studies.

As well as the activities provided for youngsters at the centre, there are also several walks and cycle routes around the park, and plenty of local wild life.

Bartley Sailing Club

Youth Afloat now has a presence at Bartley Sailing Club, Birmingham. We hope to soon be working alongside Bartley to run courses and sessions on a regular basis.
