The RYA Training Scheme provides awards at different levels from beginner to the more advanced.

NSSA

Youth Afloat is also recognised as a National School Sailing Association Centre and as such issues the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. The NSSA Awards are intended to provide a series of easy stages towards learning to sail. The awards are designed to encourage good seamanship through the development of crewing skills, teamwork and competent helmsmanship. They are equally applicable to single-handed boats or those which are centre main sheeting as the same principals apply.
