Volunteers

Youth Afloat relies heavily on volunteers, and as such would welcome any help or support from you.

In return for your help we will undertake to provide you with a training and development plan, outlining your chosen goals in the outdoor industry. We do not expect you to guarantee any time to us, but obviously the more time you give, the more time we will be prepared to give to you.

As well as the obvious rewards you will get from teaching/assisting, there is a good atmosphere amongst our volunteers, and they regularly go on trips sailing and kayaking etc away from the centre. Youth Afloat also offers two year training contracts to hone outdoor instructor skills for those volunteers who show promise.
